Glad to see you back on line. Following the Nevada test, which had moved from White Sands the following tests were conducted on Amchitka Island on the Aleution Chain. Several tests were conducted on this island, 1967 to 1970, we, including your mother, lived on Adak during this time. Each time they cnducted a test, everyone on Adak moved to high ground in the event of tidal waves. Court cases are still underway pertaining to these tests and the affect that they had on workers in the area. Nevada test programs came a long late in the testing process, first tests were conducted to develop the two bombs dropped on Japan in 1945. It was about this time that they stopped using "word verification".:)

its only me said...

Glad to see that you are still your good old self.

Searching the Web for former Adakians; came across your site. I was on Adak from 1968-1977. Did your family by any chance know any of the Sims clan (dad Levon "Bill"; mom Helen).
